Why a video says more than a card

What you'll need

Not much. Photos spread across the years you've been together - gather as many as you can (the smallest package is a 1-minute video, which takes 13 photos, and each extra minute takes 12 more). They can be photos already on your phone, or older prints you photograph or scan. That's it. There are no prompts to write and nothing to edit yourself; the platform handles the animating, the transitions, and the compiling.

How to make one

1. Gather photos from across your years together - the early days, the wedding, holidays, family, recent ones. Phone photos and scanned prints both work.
2. Upload them in order. Each consecutive pair is blended into one animation, so 10 photos give you 9 blends. The motion style for each blend is chosen automatically from a bank of styles, or you can pick it yourself.
3. Finish it. Add a personal opening with your own text, a closing title card, and music - a wedding song works beautifully here. Then compile and download.

Choosing the right photos

The photos matter more than anything else, so it's worth a minute of thought:

• Spread them across the years, so the story feels complete rather than rushed.
• Both faces clearly visible in each photo. If a face is too small, turned away, or hidden, the AI fills in the details and it stops looking like you - so lead with the clear ones.
• Keep the two of you as the focus, ideally with only a couple of other people in frame. Growing works best with a consistent main subject.

For older prints, you don't need a scanner - photographing them flat in even daylight, straight on, is usually enough. Add music, an opening, and a closing title card

Once your animations are ready, the finishing is where it becomes a gift rather than a slideshow:

• A personal opening with your own text, in one of a few styles - Album of Memories, Window of Time, or Door of Light.
• Music. Upload your own (your wedding song is the obvious choice), pick from the built-in library, or generate a custom track with AI.
• A closing title card with a few words for each other at the end.
